Cartridge – Balance (Subaltern Records) [UKBM Premiere]

We premiere ‘Balance’, a new sino-grime inspired track from Manchester-based Cartridge, lifted from his ‘Stone Cold EP’, his debut release on Subaltern Records

For today’s premiere we travel North, where Cartridge is readying himself for his latest work…

The Manchester-based artist has become one of the key figures in the ‘140’ scene with his hard-hitting, bass-driven and stylistic productions which have been released on labels such as Deep, Dark & Dangerous, DUPLOC, Encrypted Audio & more.

His next project, entitled Stone Cold EP, marks his debut on Subaltern Records, a label followed closely here at UKBM and that’s provided some absolutely wicked records from the likes of Ago, Glume & Phossa, Piezo, Kodama amongst plenty others.

Stone Cold EP is a further extension of this undeniably talented and ever rising producer’s sound. Switching epertly between Dubstep tradition, synth heavy Trap hybrids, and white-knuckled 140 bangers.

Today though we premiere Balance, which comes as an exclusive, digital only bonus track on the EP. Steeped in nostalgic sino-grime style and beautifully constructed, this one is pure mediative vibes and transports you to some idyllic Eastern utopia….complete with a sound system of course.

Stone Cold EP is out 30th April. Buy here.

Tracks
