Kicking off our UKBMix series for 2021 is none other than Munuka Records head honcho and Swamp81 affiliate Hypho.
The Manchester-based artist has been making waves over the past years with his wicked, bass-heavy productions across a multitude of labels including Swamp81, Encrypted Audio, ec2a and many more.
Since 2018 he has run his own imprint Manuka Records, a label which has gone from strength to strength with hard-hitting, multi genre but always bass-orientated releases from some of the best artists in the scene including Biome, Ternion Sound, Sumgii, Mr. K, Opus, Rygby and more.
Now he steps up for UKBMix number 76, a highly impressive and irresistibly infectious blend of bangers both loved and new and all bursting at the seams with bass.
We caught up with Hypho to talk about the mix, he said, “The mix is a mixture of sounds from myself, my label Manuka Records and tracks I’ve loved through my journey of music.”
Biggest influence on your music?
My biggest influence in music has to be the early days of Swamp81. I really got into the sound back then. Also people like Woz and Chunky!
