For UKBMix 092, we take another trip northbound to the Scottish Highlands to producer, DJ and record label owner Mark Mackenzie.
The Inverness-based artist has continued to grow in stature over the last few years, not only through his own productions but also through his label Kouncil Cuts, an imprint we love and have supported regularly since their debut EP in 2019 and through premieres of tracks from the likes of BufoBufo & Mark himself.
Now he steps up to provide the 92nd instalment of our UKBMix series and its comes signed, sealed and delivered in icy cold fashion. One hour of raw to the core & deeply atmospheric breakbeat business, guaranteed to rock the socks off the best of them. HUGE!
We caught up with Mark before recording this mix, he told us, “This is my first mix in months! I’ve gone for a heavy breaks mix, as I felt like this was a good way to jump straight back into it. It’s raw in parts but I think that’s part of the fun! This also gave me the chance to play some tracks from the label that I rarely get a chance to play out, but love.”
