With support coming from the likes of The Prototypes and Pendulum playing his tracks, the time has come for Korsakov Music man AL/SO to come to the fore with his own music and his energetic debut EP. Toaster Bath, is that debut release and it sees AL/SO deliver four banging tracks that take in a number of different sounds from full on futuristic drum & bass to more rock inspired dancefloor action.

Toaster Bath kicks off with the full on and upfront Cantankerous, a track complete with its futuristic Blade Runner-esque synths and beats combined with a vivacity that you know all about as soon as it explodes into action and as opening tracks go, it packs a hell of a punch. From then on in, the energy levels don’t dip one bit and from the bouncy title track to the full on rock/d&b hybrid Brace Yourself (complete with soaring vocals and guitar riffs throughout courtesy of guests Tom Vernon and Gid Sedgwick) and the concluding and aptly titled Earthquake (with HOLDEM), it’s a non stop ride of vital d&b energy.
With Toaster Bath, AL/SO has created an EP that is both open minded and full of vivacity and it sounds as he has had as much fun creating it as you do from listening to it. This is upfront and ultimately fun drum & bass with a crucial rock vibe coursing through its veins, which causes the results to be pure energy from start to finish. Seeing as this is only his debut EP, lets hope there will be a lot more to come in the future.
