Awo Ojiji to drop new EP, ‘Mantecatura’

The Graz-based artist is set to drop his new full bass spectrum EP ‘Mantecatura’ on London-based label Scuffed Recordings

Awo Ojiji is set to release a 4 track EP: Mantecatura, with Scuffed Recordings run by Wager and Ian DPM.

The Graz-based artist has packed a multitude of heavy numbers into this one, with tempo and energy levels ranging the full spectrum, they are sure to move bodies, minds, and smiles on dancefloors worldwide.

Listeners are treated to mid-tempo Steppa-swagger on Recess, 160 Footwork hype and groove on Stress, 140 Drum Work energy and suspense on Balsam, and rhythmically delightful flavours on Inwards, all pieces have strong and effective basslines as well as tight percussive and synthesis manipulation.

His Bandcamp bio simply reads: “broken, wonky, foggy, textures”, which definitely applies to this body of work, as well as his string of previous releases including EPs on Eternal Ocean and Brussels label Eclipse Tribez.

A long-time resident of the disko404 collective, DJ-crew, event series, and record label based in Graz, Austria, he is certainly both talented and driven, no wonder the likes of Ben UFO, Chloé Robinson, and Madam X are all long time supporters.

Mantecatura is out on 27th May, buy here.
