For the past 6 years, UK collective Loose Lips have been doing their bit for the underground electronic music community.
Through their extensive mix series, innovative premiere channel, monthly radio shows on Threads or their record label, they push high quality and richly diverse electronic music from every avenue of the bass music spectrum and beyond. Values that are much respected and shared here at UKBM.
Up next for the label is probably their most ambitious project to date, a two part Various Artists compilation with tracks coming from some of the best underground producers in the game right now.
Vol 1 featuring more uptempo, dancefloor orientated bangers and Vol 2 leaning towards more leftfield and experimental vibes.
The project is entitled In Aid Of Ruff Sqwad Arts Foundation and as the name suggests the compilation has been put together purely to raise both awareness and donations to help fund the Ruff Sqwad Arts Foundation.
Established in 2017 by Grime pioneers and Ruff Sqwad founding members Rapid and Slix, the foundation helps create opportunities for young people who have incredible talent but who are from a less advantaged background and therefore potentially not having the chances to develop their skills to the fullest. A worthy cause and one close to our hearts. You can get more information over at their official website.
Lifted from Vol 1, we present for you today Percs, an Eski influenced Grime banger from Liverpool-based producer Tubz who has been making a name for himself with his wicked productions. One maybe Ruff Sqwad would have been proud of themselves.
Head over to the Loose Lips Bandcamp now, cop the ting and help support this worthy cause. Available in all other stores this Friday.
