As we hit number 100 in our UKBMix series, we welcome one of the most exciting DJs in the game right now, none other than the mighty Mixtress.
The New Dehli-born, Amsterdam-raised and London-based artist has been blowing people away over the past few years with her explosively high octane sets, which masterfully dip into the high tempo realms of hardcore, drum & bass, jungle and beyond.
Her undeniable skills have seen her land a mix on BBC Radio 1’s Dance Residency as well as her own residency on the legendary Rinse FM. You would have no doubt also seen her shut down the likes of Keep Hush and HÖR as well as some of the best clubs and events across the country.
She is also known for her work with Sisu Crew, a community & collective dedicated to inspiring and showcasing women and non-binary artists, fully committed to fighting the imbalance of gender inequality within music.
When we caught up to talk to Mixtress, she described her mix as, “very heavy DNB focused with some old skool hardcore and jungle favours as well”.
All the good stuff then!
