Drone makes solo debut on 1985 Music with ‘Evil Sky EP’

The heavyweight Bristol-based producer is set to release his massive solo debut project ‘Evil Sky EP’ on Alix Perez’s legendary imprint

Following his debut on the label with his track Blood Orange last year, heavyweight producer Drone is set to make his solo inaugural release on 1985 Music.

Evil Sky EP will be the Bristol-based artist’s first full vinyl release since his 2020 Flooded EP on V.I.V.E.K’s System Music, following some highly acclaimed self released Bandcamp projects.

The new EP picks up exactly where he left off, featuring five powerhouse productions which further cement his distinct, dark and deadly trademark sound, drawing on Dubstep, Trap & Grime influences without being bound exclusively to any of the three.

The hugely respected & much loved 1985 Music, which is run by Alix Perez and world renowned as one of the leading labels for Drum & Bass and higher tempo electronic music, have of recent times turned their attention to the ‘140’ sound and thus creating what is clearly a perfect fit between label and artist.

Without doubt this is a sensational body of work and we wait with bated breath for even more from fine producer.

Evil Sky EP is out tomorrow. Buy here.
