Jon1st & Shield – Focus

We premiere ‘Focus’, a big, bad & heavy 140 banger lifted from the former DMC world champion & 20/20 LDN affiliate’s wicked new EP

Jon1st & Shield are set to release their brand new EP, Focus.

The Leicester & Copenhagen-based artists are best known for their jaw-dropping, beats & 160 bpm leaning live shows, incorporating live scratching, sampling & programming as well as their links to Ivy Lab’s 20/20 LDN and also Jon1st’s DMC Online World Championship win in 2013.

After multiple self-released titles over the last 5 years, they now present their biggest, and probably best, production project to date.

Consisting of 6 incredible tracks, Focus is a multi-tempo, stylistically varied and perfectly crafted EP. It masterfully dips its toes into the realms of 160, 140, Hip Hop & Drum and Bass without ever being constricted by a particular genre and for us, is one of this year’s finest releases.

Today we are super happy to share with you an exclusive listen to the title track Focus, a deadly 140 bpm weapon, boasting bouncy rolling percussion and a dark swinging bassline which both chop change throughout leaving you breathless and enraptured in equal measure.

Focus is out tomorrow. Buy here.
