Electronic music producer, sound designer and sample maker Kercha returns to Brighton’s infamous DNO records with his new EP entitled ‘Mental Ballast’.

Kicking the release off, ‘Ignorants‘ opens with some spooky vocal samples from Russian maestro E.Ponasenkov, stating “I will destroy you”, a clear warning of the imminent bass line.

A2 entitled ‘Mental Ballast‘ raises the stakes with its percussive shuffles, intertwined with an ominous synth line and many a chopped sample. We loved this one so much we played it on our last Subtle Radio show which you can listen back to here.

Analysis‘ see’s Kercha team up with Berlin based artist Yoofee, whose had previous releases on White Peach and Albion Collective. Packed with buzzing synth chords and glowing arpeggios, this one sure does get the dance floor moving.

Rounding up the release, ‘Tigers‘ opens with a mix of pulsating chords and a skippy drum beat. Signature Kercha ‘wobbles’ can definitely be heard on this track, finishing the release off in style.

Four tracks feature on the vinyl plus a bonus track (‘Acid‘) if you purchase the release digitally. Full release out 29th October. Head over to DNO’s bandcamp page to grab yourself a copy.

Massive shouts to the DNO crew for another awesome release.
