Stepping up to the plate for the 64th instalment of our UKBMix series is Bristol-based producer & DJ Gemmy.
His career exploded into life in 2008 with the introduction of his captivating and completely original sound, melding the structure and weight of Dubstep with the sonics and soul of Funk.
The sound was labelled Purple Wow and was shared by fellow Bristolian’s Joker & Guido who both brought their own originality whilst still sharing the same deep & rich aesthetic.
Since then, Gemmy has had many incredible releases on labels such as Punch Drunk Music, Planet Mu, Tectonic Recordings and many more including his own label World Of Wonders.
Today we are excited to share an exclusive mix from the man himself.
Chatting to us about the mix, Gemmy said, “So I’ve put together a selection of fresh and classic bangers which are favourites of mine, from the slower tempos going up to 140bpm, covering a wide variety of moods while also including a few exclusives from myself.”
