Up next in our UKBMix series and stepping up to the plate, we welcome Helsinki-based producer Koala.
He’s been building his name over the past few years with his high quality, super rhythmic & bass driven productions which have been supported by the likes of Emerald, Marcus Nasty, Mr Mitch and more.
After multiple contributions to their compilations, he has now released the solo project Energia EP on German label Ruffhouse Industries. A huge, rough and ready body of work, perfectly encapsulating his style and sound, fully equipped with remixes from Strict Face and Mignon.
To celebrate the release, Koala has put together UKBMix 072, a mix which only serves to encapsulate his sound furthermore, distilling a dark and moody vibe in one hour of bass-heavy riddims with various styles of percussion.
When talking to us about this mix, Koala said, “This is a slice from the selection of music I’ve got stored for the forthcoming winter season we have up here. In short, tunes to get by the darkness, maybe even shake a leg to or shed a tear to a emotional banger.”
