Ivy Lab to make debut on Dirtybird with ‘Press Play’

The 20/20 LDN duo mark their first outing on Claude VonStroke’s long standing label with a brand new, huge and heavy four track EP

20/20 LDN label owners Ivy Lab are set to make their hotly anticipated debut on Dirtybird with a brand new four track EP called Press Play.

The London-based duo, made up of Stray & Sabre have dominated & pioneered the halftime & 160 scene over the last 10 years with their innovative and groundbreaking productions released on their own imprint as well as Critical Recordings, Metalheadz & more.

Now they are set to make their first appearance on Claude VonStroke’s long standing Dirtybird label, with the EP being the 3rd instalment of their White Label series, following Nikki Nair and Justin Jay & Claude VonStroke himself.

Press Play is a superb body of work and catches the duo in inevitably fine form, providing a multi layered cross section of their varied sound as well as their undeniable production talent. The A side provides neck breaking, bleepy and bassy halftime goodness with tittle track Press Play and BBQ, whilst on the B side sits Dresden Codex, a dark and heavy, acid-licked zoner which leads on to Options, an endorphin-charged, Jungle-inspired banger layered with with melodic strings, beautiful vocals and plenty of soul.

This one’s huge.

Press Play is out 1st October. Buy/stream here.
