The word ‘legend’ is perhaps thrown about a bit too easily these days, but with Roska it definitely applies.
The London-based producer can only be described as a pioneer of UK Funky, having been a key player right from its earliest days in 2008, both with his much loved productions and wicked DJ sets at nights like FWD and across the Rinse FM airwaves.
His own label Roska Kicks & Snares, which was born in the same year has become widely regarded as the leading label for the sound and not only homed the likes of DJ MA1, Doc Daneeka, Jamie George & DJ Naughty but is still going strong in 2020 with a slew of great releases, including the quality Bopster/Anytime from Roska’s alter ego Bakongo.
Today we are happy to share a brand new mix from the man himself, exclusively put together for UKBM and serves as the 60th mix in our series. It’s fully equipped with big bass lines, infectious rhythms and some new forthcoming Roska material to keep your eyes peeled for.

Biggest Influence on your music?
Not really big influences but a collection of influences. Wookie, Zed Bias, Wiley. Dancehall, Grime, Garage and House.
