Stepping up for our 85th mix in the series, Clouwds brings us mix spanning a multitude of genres. Starting with some deep DnB, Clouwds effortlessly blends into footwork, glitch hop and even some dubstep!
For those of you who don’t know, Clouwds has been making waves within the DnB spectrum supporting the likes of Alix Perez, Break and High Contrast (to name a few). She also forms 1/3 of the up and coming DnB powerhouse trio Nuance alongside fellow artists Averse and L.E.X. Gaining recognition from the likes of Shogun Audio and Hospital Records with their energetic sets, its clear the future looks bright for Clouwds and all her ventures.
We spoke to Clouwds about her UKBMix, and she said,
“For this mix I wanted to include a range of tracks that are inspiring me currently, and also delve back into some older favourites that sparked my initial love for bass music. We start out with some deeper DnB before delving into a more percussive section of the mix encompassing footwork, glitch hop and dubstep. Bringing the tempo back up, I’ve ended on the euphoric drum & bass sound that reminds me of first hearing DnB out in a rave – something we’ve all been missing greatly this past year! In my selections I’ve felt particularly inspired by the number of womxn who have been smashing out some incredible tunes over the recent months. My music library is looking ever more equal which is such exciting progression, and gives me hope for the increasing diversity in bass music.”
