Spotlight: Gather

We take a closer look at an event thats pushing UKG forward.

The increase of UKG over the last couple of years has been a beautiful thing.

New producers, new labels, new producers, new labels and new events all pushing things forward and evolving the scene and sound. Today we take a closer look at one of those events as they gear up for the 1st Birthday bash, Gather.

Based in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, Gather have been putting on parties for the past year, building up a reputation as one of the best places outside of London to hear high quality electronic music and see some of the key figures in the UKG scene.

Set in Annie’s Attic, formerly known as Sunrooms which holds legendary status on Essex for those that know, Gather have seen the likes of Jeremy Sylvester, Perception & Dan DNR alongside the finest local talent grace the decks and they are about to take things up a notch

On Saturday 3rd August, the Gather boys invite you to celebrate their 1st Birthday with an all-star line up and 12 hour party featuring legend of the game Dem 2, a 3 hour Perception b2b Riz La Teef bonanza and the Shuffle n Swing crew. Starting at 3pm and ending at 3am.

Check the event page here and buy your tickets here.

Make sure you follow the guys on their Facebook and Instagram

Also keep your eyes peeled for Gather’s first release on their new record label soon….
