The Bass Drop – Late February

5 must check electronic tracks being released in the second half of February that you will fall in love with

Taking a look at the releases coming up in the second half of February.  With Saint Valentines day just passing by, we are still bringing you a range of unexpected gifts that you will fall in love with.

SIETE CATORCE – TEMPERATURA

A brilliant EP from a producer who continually experiments with sound and rarely has a theme running through his productions.  This EP contains tracks which merge genres to offer a unique listening experience.  Check the fusion in Todo, where the Mexican producer laces bassy breaks with a UK funky house swing.  This time away from his own label Subreal, releasing on Berlin based Bruk recordsListen / Buy

OURMAN – WINDY

Any connoisseur of dubstep will enjoy having a listen through this EP.  Ourman incorporates a large North African element into these four tracks.  Windy is an apt start, setting you well for the full listen.  The Paris based producer drops overall sweetness blended together with a clever choice of instruments, cuts and vocals.  Releasing on White Peach Records who are doing their best to help artists on their label by giving 100% of profits sold directly to the artist.  Listen / Buy

OM UNIT – ACID DUB STUDIES

Om Unit has long been known for creating masterpieces in a range of genres throughout Drum and Bass, Hip Hop and Electronic music.  This LP turns to electronic twinged dub.  It is easy to hear the amount of study that has gone into the art of dub.  Listen to Dissolved, a laid back Sunday style groove holding ambience amidst the techno and dub.  Listen / Buy

IAM6TEEN – I’M SORRY

Iam6teen adds to the pool of beautifully moving Lo Fi that his fans have come to adore.  Creating a gentle and sincere sound that lends to the realm of alternative existence, I’m Sorry touches the solitary heart with soft vocals on solemn piano to create an overall earnest sound.  Check this out on The Bootleg BoyListen / Buy

PARADOX – OCTA4 / PROCEED

Bold and forthright, Proceed is a track that will be a highlight of any set.  Flecked with the authentic microphone work of a Jamaican sound clash, met with punches of weight under the fierce drum rolls, this is a non stop smash.  Paradox aptly releasing this two piece on Sneaker Social Club, which unapologetically supports UK rave.  This one can transport even the hardened heads into a fix.  Listen / Buy
